Ticks and Tick-Borne Diseases: Fight The Bite!

Chances are that you or someone you know, has been diagnosed with Lyme or another tick-borne disease, Anna-Marie Wellins, DNP, a member of the Medical Advisory Panel of Stony Brook Southhampton Hospital’s Regional Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center, will speak about the the types of diseases that are carried by the different species of ticks found on Eastern Long Island. She will also discuss the symptoms, diagnostic tests and treatment options that are available. Tips on preventing tick bite will also be shared.
