New York City during World War II, one of the most powerful, and vulnerable cities, is the focus of this talk. During WWII, more than 800,000 New Yorkers served in the Armed Forces. It was also a target for Hitler. Tonight, our presenter will talk about German American Bund, The Manhattan Project, Stage Door Canteen, Rosie the Riveter, Camp Shanks and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
