Whether you live in Southold or just visiting, you can take advantage of the library's free wireless access and Internet connection. No library card or password required.Wi-Fi AccessYou can access the library's free wireless Internet (wi-fi) from most places within the building. You are welcome to connect your laptop, smartphone or tablet to our network 24/7 from the Library's courtyard.The library has a 50MB Ethernet connection. Connection speeds are dependent upon the number of concurrent users and the current tasks being performed. Outages are rare, but they do happen.Internet AccessYou can access the internet from the public computers and laptops within the building. No library card or password required. Printing is available from our computers and laptops.Using the Library's computers, you can:
- Create, read, and share your documents with Microsoft office
- Learn several programing languages including C/C++, Java, Python, and 123D Design
- Conceive, design, build, and print your creations for our 3D printer
