The History of New York City and Oysters (Zoom)
East End Libraries
Wednesday April 6, 6:30pm
In the early 17th century, New York Harbor teemed with oysters. As the city grew, New Yorkers’ cravings for the tasty bivalves nearly wiped them out completely. Join us for some pearls of wisdom about this salty New York native with Tom Hynes, author of Wild City: A Brief History of New York City in 40 Animals. The zoom link will be emailed the day of the class.
