Stony Brook Southampton Hospital/East End Libraries
Thursday, January 19, 12pm
Polio has reemerged with a confirmed case in Rockland County, and the detection of the virus in wastewater in New York City. Monkeypox infections are continuing to grow exponentially in the U.S., and rapid and aggressive public health interventions are needed. Dr. Susan Donelan, Medical Director and Assistant Professor of Infectious Disease at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, will speak about strategies needed tocombat the spread of these and other emerging infectious diseases. Hosted by the North Shore Public Library.
