Southold Free Library Museum Pass Policy
Southold Free Library (SFL) offers museum passes entitling users to free admission, for a predetermined number of guests, to local and regional museums and organizations.
Museum passes will be purchased by SFL from not-for-profit museums and organizations.
Passes are available to adult (18+) Southold cardholders whose cards are in good standing.
Borrowers are responsible for contacting the organization and understanding the rules and regulations of a particular pass; including parking, directions, hours of operation, etc. The Library recommends bringing a photo ID and your Southold Library card along with the pass the day or days of the visit.
SFL offers two types of passes: Print-on-demand passes and pickup/return passes. The type of pass offered is dependent on the sponsoring organization.
Print-on-demand passes need to be printed prior to visiting the museum or organization. A reservation on a phone is not a valid pass. Print-on-demand passes will indicate the day or days of the visit that the pass is valid for.
Pickup/return passes are valid for three days and need to be returned before closing the day they are due back at the library.
A pass may be checked out up to two times per month per household. Passes can be reserved up to 60 days in advance. A household may only check out one pass from a specific museum or organization at a time.
A late fee of $5 per day will accrue for passes returned late. If a pass is lost, the borrower will be responsible for replacement costs. The Library is not responsible for pickup/return passes that are not returned on time.
